Up and Running!

Welcome to Windy City Canine Rescue! We are a new rescue in town, but we are definitely not new to the rescue world. Together we have over 10 years of experience placing dogs in their forever homes and we plan to continue until rescue is no longer needed.

We are still busy organizing and setting up our society and we haven't started taking dogs into our care yet. Right now we are looking for foster homes. We need people who are willing to spend quality time training and caring for unwanted and surrendered dogs in preparation for their forever families. This is a considerable time commitment, but it can be the most rewarding experience for you and your families to see a dog grow, trust again and ultimately change their lives indefinitely.

We also need donations. We are looking for leashes, collars, bowls, bedding, crates, toys - anything that your dog once loved and maybe now has forgotten. And of course if you would rather give a monetary donation it will go directly to the most needed resources.

Windy City has a special fondness for mature dogs. I know most people are excited about the balls of energy that puppies are, but I think we will convince most of you along the way that experienced dogs have a lot to offer.
