All the foster dogs are doing great. Here are a few updates about some of them...
Lyla is doing good and is now fully housetrained! She definitely likes her daily exercise as does her foster mom because it keeps her from getting into mischief. Her leash manners are great but she does get awfully excited at the sight of another dog. She'd really like to go over, say hi, and play. She likes to snuggle with people and dogs and is a pretty fun and sweet companion. If her foster parent had to use one word to describe her it would be "Sassy!"
Ellie is an awesome dog and companion. Her energy level has increased 10 fold and she is a happy, attention loving girl. She is pretty good on leash and enjoys her walks quite a bit. And now that she is feeling better from her thyroid meds, she has rediscovered the joy of toys. She is also starting to enjoy playing with her foster siblings and is well behaved with visiting dogs as well. She goes back to the vet for a recheck on her thyroid and eyes next week so we'll update you on that shortly!
Brodie has become great on leash and is getting better at his "stay" and "come" commands but still can't be trusted off-leash. He LOVES to go "crittering" and will stick his head into every gopher hole he finds hoping to meet a furry little friend. Brodie is good in the house and after he gets over his initial shyness his fun and playful personality just shines through.
